Founder & President
James Pierce
James is an IBM Senior State Executive and business transformation leader. He has led global hybrid cloud initiatives and supported technical teams worldwide. James founded Fund a Future to help underprivileged children access education, aligning with his passion for making a positive impact in the community.

Treasurer
Amanda Berens
Amanda is an engineer and dedicated advocate for education. As treasurer and founding board member of Fund A Future, she helps drive its mission and oversees the Alay Kapwa Scholarship Program in Cebu City. Outside of her nonprofit work, she enjoys running Austin’s Greenbelt trails and practicing Muay Thai.

Brooke Jones
Brooke is a strategic leader at IBM, passionate about innovation and driving change. Her career focuses on solving complex problems and leading teams, while her dedication to impact extends beyond the workplace through years of volunteering in the community. Whether mentoring, organizing fundraisers, or simply advocating for causes, Brooke is committed to using her skills to make a difference.
Director
Dave Carr
Dave is a retired IBM Executive and business transformation consultant. He has worked on projects such as providing healthcare to remote villages, mentoring students, and improving access to clean water. Dave joined Fund a Future to support underfunded students, aligning with his core values of education and service.
Director
Ron Chang
Ron is a seasoned banker with 25 years of experience, currently serving as Vice President at Bank of Hawaii’s Kalai Services Group. He works with top clients on banking, real estate finance, and investment management, while also supporting local charities like the Boys and Girls Club of Hawaii and JDRF Hawaii.
