My name is James Pierce, and in 2007, I founded Fund a Future, Inc. to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children worldwide. Inspired by my travels to six continents with my wife, I’ve witnessed the profound challenges many children face—challenges that are unimaginable for those who have had the privilege of good health, education, and opportunity.

The truth is heartbreaking: millions of children around the globe endure adversity and exploitation every day. They are born into circumstances beyond their control—determined by their parents, ethnicity, or place of birth—and many grow up without the love and support of family. For these children, survival often means navigating hostile and unforgiving environments.

But here’s the good news: you can make a difference. Whether you choose to support Fund a Future, another charitable organization, or take action on your own, your compassion and commitment can transform a child’s life. I’ve personally seen how small acts of generosity and determination can spark hope and create change.

My journey toward founding Fund a Future began with inspiration from my uncle, who established Email Foster Parents International after meeting Nuon Phaly, an extraordinary woman devoted to helping orphans in Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Motivated by her work, I became a foster parent and later visited the orphanage with my wife. Seeing the tangible impact of a grassroots effort like hers, I realized that this model could be replicated to help even more children. And so, Fund a Future was born.

What sets Fund a Future apart is our focus on creating lasting, personal connections between donors and children. We’re a small organization driven by individual passion and creativity, and we measure success not by the dollars raised but by the lives we transform. We welcome not only financial contributions but also donations of time, ideas, and energy.
